Power and Knowledge

This is the second part of our introduction to philosophy. In
the first part we examined knowledge and ethics, gained some
familiarity with the tools and techniques of philosophy and read works
and excerpts of significant philosophers. In this section, we
emphasize the human condition and its inextricable counterparts;
culture and values. In doing this we will concentrate on the works of
Nietzsche and extend ourselves toward the ends of reason. As
Nietzsche put it; "Even
behind all logic and its apparent dynamic authority stand evaluations of worth." (BGE 4) |
